Fred Scane, the breeding manager of AQHA Hall of Famer Ed Allred (all time leading Breeder), owner of Los Alamitos race course and nine-time champion breeder and six-time champion owner, said this about Ought to be First…

"I originally chose to breed one of our Merridoc mares named Shes Everyones Dream to Ought To Be First because I really loved his breeding," Fred Scane recalled. "He stood at Burns Ranch for a year and I always really liked him while he was here. I still think he has the best breeding of anyone in the country."

Son of Ought To Be First
His sire is currently standing in Mexico

He is built and bred very nice! Good disposition, very respectful. Throws sensible, well put together and flashy babies!

Oughta Rock n' Roll is a great looking stallion, amazing disposition with an all-star lineup on his papers. Elvis unfortunately has injuries that will keep him off the track and out of the arena. Our goal for him is to breed him to well bred producing mares to prove him as a track and barrel producer sire. His first crop are 2 yr. olds of 2009.
